Holiday Dresses

With Christmas right around the corner means the parties are coming fast! My parents always have a huge Christmas party at our house, it's so fun. It always calls for a new dress to show off. I picked two out from ModCloth, one for the Christmas party and one for Christmas Day!

This dress is my favorite out of the two I ordered. It'll probably be my dress for the party! The only accessories you'll need are a pair of studs, red lipstick and simple heels! (hmm.. I need to go buy some simple heels.)
The next dress is also really pretty but, in my opinion, way more simple. I'll probably wear this Christmas Day with my gold bow belt from Kate Spade and a statement necklace! And never forget your red lipstick when celebrating the holidays!

Which outfit is your favorite? Enjoy the holiday season!

Thanksgiving Traditions

Thanksgiving is one of my favorite days! We have this amazing tradition where we spend it with close family friends. It started many years ago when they were remodeling their kitchen and couldn't use their oven! It is one of my most favorite traditions and we change host houses every year! This year my family hosted.

We had more family friends join us for Thanksgiving dinner and it was the best year yet. Our three families have known each other for thirteen years and we always have the most fun together! We tend to break into song when we finish our dinner... it's become a tradition within a tradition! We've covered Journey, The Lion King, Wicked, and even The Sound of Music over the years.

My oldest sister decided to create a new tradition of running the local Turkey Trot every year! After the race my dad rewards us by taking us to the Hilton Head Diner for breakfast. The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade gets recorded so we can watch it as we cook and rest up before eating our amazing dinner! (The Build-A-Bear float has always been my favorite!)

These are my favorite pictures from a very eventful day!

Crossed the finish line :)

Holiday Wish List

Christmas and my birthday are right around the corner! As I'm getting older I'm finding there isn't much that I want. I don't have a list like when I was eight, two pages front and back full of unnecessary toys, I have a few very specific items I would appreciate!

Navy Blue Hunter Boots // I have been longing for a pair of Hunter boots for the past two years but for some reason I just never splurged on them! Maybe I'll get myself a birthday present :)

Cedar Street Monday Bag // I saw this when I was shopping on King Street in Charleston back in October, I just love that it looks like a little envelope! And could they pick a cuter colors?

A Navy Onesie // Ok, so this is random but they look so warm and cozy! And navy is the greatest color out there!

Monogram Bracelet // To match my monogrammed necklace! It will become a part of my everyday jewelry! How perfect?

J. Crew Boat Neck Tee // This has been on my must-have list since summer! It's just too cute to pass up!

The gifts are a plus on the Holidays but I am looking forward to Thanksgiving tomorrow! We are hosting it at our house and having family friends over! It's going to be a great day full of food, friends, family and fun! I hope everyone has a great day tomorrow! What are you thankful for?

Rainy Day, Lazy Day

Down in the south cold weather is rare so when we do I get super excited and dress to the occasion! Today, it was dreary, rainy and chilly all day!! I'm not complaining, I love rain and the cold. It was actually quite nice, my oldest sister is home so we naturally drove thru Starbucks, brought it back home and caught up! The rest of the day was spent watching movies curled up on the couch. It was a much needed day, and a great lazy outfit day!

Lazy outfits always include some form of legging, a comfy t-shirt and glasses! The rain meant I just had to wear my favorite boots ever, L.L. Bean Boots! They are so cute and go perfectly with J. Crew camp socks. (note: always double up on socks, keeps your feet extra warm!) All in all it was a well spent day with my sister!
